Your trip with Blackstone Mission Bangladesh is fully supported from the moment you arrive until your journey home. Return flights from London to Dhaka are included, and all transport within Bangladesh—whether by tuk-tuk, boat, rickshaw, or other local vehicles—is arranged, so every ride becomes part of your adventure. You’ll stay in safe and comfortable accommodations, enjoy delicious local meals and drinks, and be guided throughout by Blackstone staff and local experts who know the area and the communities we serve. Most importantly, you’ll take part in hands-on volunteering, immerse yourself in the culture, and form meaningful connections that will stay with you long after the trip ends.
While your trip covers most essentials, there are a few things you’ll need to arrange yourself. You will need to obtain a visa to enter Bangladesh, and transport from your home to the airport in the UK is your responsibility. Tips and gratuities for local staff or guides are optional, but always appreciated.
Blackstone Mission Bangladesh is all about creating meaningful change for children who need it most. You’ll be helping street children by providing food, shelter, and hope, supporting schools through educational projects and supplies, and reaching out to refugee children who have faced unimaginable hardships. Every pound raised, every moment spent volunteering, and every smile shared contribute to building brighter futures for these children.
Participants must be 18 or older, though younger volunteers may join if accompanied by a guardian and approved in advance. To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of £250 is required at registration, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Each participant is encouraged to fundraise a minimum of £1,500 to support the projects on the ground, with at least 80% of the funds raised prior to travel. Travel insurance is your responsibility, and proof must be provided before departure.
Your health and safety are important to us, so please share any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements when you register. Vaccinations are recommended following NHS travel guidelines. In the event of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable, and cancellations made within 30 days of departure will incur full charges. We expect all participants to respect the values of Blackstone Charity and show sensitivity to local faiths, cultures, and communities, including in language, behaviour, and clothing. Finally, a valid passport is required, and you are responsible for obtaining any necessary visas for your journey.
