About Blackstone Trust

Blackstone Trust is a UK-registered, Muslim-led humanitarian and development organisation working across Bangladesh, East Africa, Gaza, Pakistan, and other regions. Our work is guided by Islamic values of compassion, justice, and service to those in need. We serve people of all backgrounds and faiths, based on need alone, and we operate as a professional, inclusive, and equal opportunities employer.

We are a strong growing charity with a global footprint, working to deliver long-term, meaningful change through local partnerships and practical support. As part of our Global Operations team, you will play an important role in supporting coordination, monitoring, and communication across our international programmes.

About the Role

This is a remote, Bangladesh-based role focused on coordination, communication, and project support across multiple countries. You will work closely with our teams and partners in Bangladesh, Kenya, Pakistan, and the UK. Your responsibilities will include following up on project updates, scheduling calls, supporting volunteers, managing calendars, drafting reports, and participating in field visits.

You will be expected to travel within Bangladesh on a quarterly basis for field monitoring visits. Occasionally, you may be asked to travel to another country in the region to support project delivery. These trips will be fully supported by the organisation (visa assistance, travel logistics, etc.).

This is not a data-entry job. We are looking for someone who is confident speaking to others, following up with partners, managing their time independently, and playing a meaningful role in global programme coordination. You will receive regular support and mentorship, but we are seeking someone who takes ownership, shows initiative, and is excited to learn and grow in the humanitarian sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Programme Coordination and Liaison
  • Serve as the key link between the UK programmes team and partners across Bangladesh and other operational countries
  • Follow up regularly with partners to request updates, monitoring reports, or documents
  • Maintain shared calendars, track tasks, and coordinate meetings across time zones
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner
  1. Monitoring and Travel
  • Travel within Bangladesh on a quarterly basis to monitor projects, attend meetings, and collect updates
  • Prepare field visit summaries and contribute to internal reports
  • Be available, on occasion, to travel regionally (e.g. Kenya, Pakistan) if required. Visa applications and logistics will be supported by Blackstone Trust
  1. Reporting and Research
  • Draft internal reports and field updates for the Director of Global Operations and HQ
  • Assist in coordinating research assignments with university partners and academic institutions
  • Contribute to case studies, internal documentation, and project learning resources
  1. Volunteer Support and Event Coordination
  • Help prepare for UK volunteer delegations, including logistics, planning, and scheduling
  • Accompany the visiting team during programme visits in Bangladesh
  • Maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders to support ongoing volunteer activity
  • Be a welcoming, respectful representative of the charity during all visits and meetings
  1. Digital Tools and Record-Keeping
  • Use Google Workspace, Zoom, shared drives, and online scheduling tools
  • Organise and store internal documents, reports, and field files
  • Keep project timelines and communication logs updated and accessible
  1. Representation and Conduct
  • Represent Blackstone Trust at relevant NGO forums or meetings in Bangladesh when needed
  • Maintain professional standards in communication, discretion, and cultural awareness
  • Always uphold the values and reputation of the organisation
